[About HYSIA]
HYSIA (derived from “HYGIENE” and “ASIA”) is the brand name of Dynamic Sanito Co., Ltd. Our trademark is registered in 12 countries in Asia and Oceania, including Japan.
[Environmental Health and Hygiene]
According to the WHO website, “Healthier environments could prevent almost one quarter of the global burden of disease [as defined by economic cost, mortality rate, and other indicators that quantify the burden of illness and health issues on society]. The COVID-19 pandemic is a further reminder of the delicate relationship between people and our planet. Clean air, stable climate, adequate water, sanitation and hygiene, safe use of chemicals, protection from radiation, healthy and safe workplaces, sound agricultural practices, health-supportive cities and built environments, and a preserved nature are all prerequisites for good health.” HYSIA is committed to upholding these principles to ensure that we may lead healthy lives.
[Dealing with Borderless Challenges]
Our world is based on borders and boundaries, such as international frontiers, regional borders, property lines, and boundaries between human society and nature. On the other hand, infectious diseases and environmental issues are global challenges that do not recognize such boundaries. HYSIA provides solutions to such borderless challenges.

HISTORY
沿革
First generation
The business began in 1969 when Keiko Kanazawa, the wife of a candy wholesaler in Odate in Akita Prefecture, started up a rodent removal business. She was the youngest of 13 children, the daughter of a farming family in Hinai-cho, Akita Prefecture (now Hinai, Odate), an area famous for the Hinai breed of chicken. She married into the Kanazawa family which at that time ran a candy wholesaling business in Odate. The warehouse of this candy business had a problem with rats. Keiko was so concerned by this that she read up and studied rat biology and habits, and became an expert on the subject of rat control. This expertise led her to found Dynamic Sanito. Although she was the mother of three children, she worked hard to expand the business, including opening a service branch in Tokyo to handle the pest control operation for Haneda Airport Terminal Building. The business developed rapidly as a pest control company offering a comprehensive range of pest and microbial control services. Keiko was passionate about developing her knowledge of the industry and regularly attended the annual NPMA convention in America, as well as offering the benefit of her technical expertise to local authorities in China where her knowledge was in strong demand. Her contribution to the industry was recognized when she received an award from the Emperor of Japan.
Second generation
Keiko Kanazawa’s sons, Yoshihiro and Akira, took over the management of Dynamic Sanito as Representative Director and Senior Managing Director, respectively. One day, one of their major clients told them, “You know what? The reason our company has such a strong track record on food safety is all down to you.” Yoshihiro and Akira felt this praise was a slight exaggeration, but it inspired them to raise their service offering to a higher level. In addition to pest control, they established a new department to offer a comprehensive range of hygiene solutions, including consulting services on HACCP/food safety, bacterial and microbial control and training and education initiatives. In addition, they were committed to improving the quality of the management of their own business and ensured that the company took its corporate social responsibilities very seriously. These included safety in the workplace, support for employee mental and physical health, responsibility for the environment and compliance. Today’s executives in the company who are responsible for the day-to-day running of the business all started out during this period. This provides a robust foundation for the company’s future growth.
Third generation
Taro Kanazawa, son of Yoshihiro, took over the business in 2019 and is now working hard to drive the company’s international expansion. In 2019, the Singapore business moved into profit and tripled the capital by raising funds through a third-party allotment of capital to SEMCO. In the same year, Hysia Taiwan was established and also began providing its services in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. In Japan, the company continues to expand and enhance its services to domestic customers in cooperation with its overseas teams. The domestic business has also raised funds through a third-party allotment of capital to Fidea Capital). Hysia’s mission is to be a leading provider of comprehensive hygiene solutions in Japan and Asia.
